RSS is a family of web feed format used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries(which I am doing right now), news headlines etc. Rss document is either known as “feed”, “web feed” or “channel” contains either a summary of content of an associated website or full text. RSS is an easy access to people’s favourite websites in an automated manner, that is easier than going to individual websites. So there we go…TIME SAVER!!!! :)))

Week 3 FLICKR

Exploring flicker was another new thing I learnt.
I went up to this amazing website, opened an account had a very good response (see below). I looked at all the various options, and am really thrilled. I will post some picturess soon and will recommend this site to my friends and families and also to people who would want to get rid of their chunky photo albums. It is also a very good site for people who have a passion for photography.

Welcome to Flickr!

Mashup…..if you really think about it is really is an organized mess . It is a web application that combines data and /or functionality from more than one source into an integrated webpage, It allows anyone to combine existing data from different websites in new ways. In the very beginning when all this was introduced to me ..God I thought how will I get through all this Rocket science, Now I know that these are relatively easy to design and can be accomplished without a huge amount of technical knowledge.

Social networking

I had a good look at these three sites and even managed to create an account in facebook, which I thought was cool, but than it is only cool when you get a chance to use it. That is, when you have a very important thing called "TIME". Technology has moved so far (it is even much further I know, it's only I haven't paddled fast enough to keep up with the race) that a time will come we won't have to travel around the world, cause everthing you need will be delivered on your door step. It does happen now but it will become more efficient...Dont you agree with me?. It is like we'll talk and see our granchildren growing on web cams :))
